Athelstane House

Athelstane House, Queenscliff

Built in 1860, Athelstane House is Queenscliff's oldest operating guesthouse. Interior renovations have added many contemporary luxuries while the building still retains its historic exterior.

There are ten boutique hotel rooms with their own ensuites, eight with corner spa baths, TVs, DVD players, panel heating and ceiling fans.

There is a guest lounge with open fireplace and reading materials, plus shared tea and coffee making facilities. A guest balcony area is located on the first floor.

Athelstane House is a perfect venue to indulge yourselves or perhaps, to come and enjoy with a group of friends.

Accommodation includes a cooked or continental breakfast, served each morning in the dining room. Where possible, the best seasonal and local produce and ingredients are used including free-range eggs, hydroponic tomatoes and home-made jams and chutneys.

The Athelstane House bistro makes a good choice for a casual meal with the choice of either indoor dining or, weather permitting, dining on the outside deck.

Athelstane House is conveniently situated right in the heart of Queenscliff and is just a short walk from attractive foreshore parks, beaches, the ferry terminal and the historic Bellarine Peninsula railway.
